Is Fixodent sold in China?
Yes Fixodent sells products in mainland China.
And selling imported cosmetics in China still puts products at risk of being tested on animals in pre or post market.
Whilst we cannot now claim that countries involved in selling products in China can be cruelty-free, China’s animal testing policy is no longer as black and white is it seemed.
Is Fixodent Vegan?
Fixodent is not a vegan brand.
Whilst its ingredient list – primarily cellulose, petrolatum (like Vaseline), artificial flavours and colours – looks to be free-from animal byproducts, the brand is complicit in animal testing around the world and can’t be considered vegan.

Fixodent is owned by P&G – Procter & Gamble – an American multinational consumer goods corporation who also own brands like: Olay, Aussie, Herbal Essences and Fairy.
No Fixodent isn’t certified cruelty-free by any organisations because the brand is complicit in cosmetic animal testing.
By both selling products in markets where animal testing can be mandated by law and working with suppliers who test on animals on the brand’s behalf.
No Fixodent isn’t Leaping Bunny certified as it is not cruelty-free. Fixodent actually features in PETA’s ‘does test on animals’ database.
Fixodent inherits Procter & Gamble’s animal testing policy. One that claims that the brand doesn’t test products on animals or ask third parties to test ingredients or products on its behalf.
But it admits to selling products in markets where it is required by law.
Fixodent products contain synthetic flavours, colours and sweeteners – alongside other unnatural ingredients like silica and petrolatum – that means the brand is not natural.
Whilst some of Fixodent’s products are free-from synthetic preservatives – like the Denture Adhesive Cream – other products contain parabens to increase their shelf-life.
As Fixodent products use mineral oil – a petrolatum derivative – instead of vegetable oils – like palm – Fixodent appears to be palm oil free.
However Procter and Gamble is a significant user of palm oil, although it is at least a member of the RSPO.
