Dove is a tough one. As of right now, although it is certified by PETA, we don't feel comfortable claiming Dove is cruelty-free.
No Maybelline isn't cruelty-free. It inherits its parents company's - L'Oreal - animal testing policy. And we aren't comfortable recommending brands who sell in China. Yet.

As of August 2021 it is unclear whether Sanex are cruelty-free. It claims to not test on animals, but there's no clarity about whether its products are sold in China.
Whilst Vaseline technically don't use any animal derived ingredients in their products, it sells products in China so isn't cruelty-free or, by our definition, vegan.
