All Green People products are natural, vegetarian, and certified cruelty-free by Peta.
Green People is totally committed to creating cruelty-free beauty products and has never tested any product or ingredient on animals.
Green People have a host of voucher codes and deals year-round (see below).
Is Green People Vegan?
Green People is not an entirely vegan brand.
Whilst most products are certified vegan by The Vegan Society – and everything is vegetarian – there are certain products that contain animal-derived ingredients.
Fortunately every single ingredient is available on each product page. So you can check each product carefully, as beeswax and non-vegetable glycerine are used in certain ranges.
You can find out more about the range of essential beauty products here.
Is Green People Eco-Friendly?
Yes Green People is a largely eco and environmentally-friendly brand.
Let’s start with packaging. It is completely recyclable and can be put in your standard household recycling. Some of it is even biodegradable.
However it is not plastic-free – although that makes it apparently easy to recycle.
Onto palm-oil. Like most companies it isn’t palm-oil free. But the palm oil does come from sustainable, organic, fair-trade sources. Which is a minimum standard for us.
Onto manufacturing. The products are made and shipped from the UK with ingredients primarily sourced locally. Good for air and shipping miles and emission reductions.
And is everything biodegradable? Yes! Well almost everything. The Titanium Dioxide in a sun cream is not. But as it since it is a mineral, will not degrade.
Green People Hero Product
The Antioxidant Repair Serum for Men is my favourite.
Otherwise the Foaming Face Wash is a beautifully gentle, effective face cleanser. One that’s also vegan.

What else do we Love About Green People?
That the brand is based on the Knepp Estate – a rewilded estate in West Sussex that was once intensively farmed.
It’s aim is to establish a functioning ecosystem where nature is prioritised effectively. What better measure of a brand can you have than that?
As a sidenote the Knepp Estate is not far from where we live.
Green People Ethical FAQs
Green People pump tubes and sheaves are both fully recyclable and can be put in with your normal household recycling.
Some of the packaging will even biodegrade – such as the ONE Balm, which is packaged in a 100% biodegradable pot.
Due to the potential risk of accidental contamination Green People do not use SLES in any of the products.
No green People is not plastic-free. It very intentional uses plastic in the majority of its packaging.
This is because modern recycling processes allow both of these plastic types to be recycled many times, not just the once. So there should never be any landfill.
Green People is not palm-oil free.
Fortunately the palm oil used in Green People products is from certified organic sources in countries that do not have native orang-utans such as the Philippines and Ecuador.
It is a condition of being an organic certified brand that the ingredients must be sourced from sustainable origins.
Ingredients that cannot be sourced from closer to home all come from sustainable suppliers that provide a fair wage and good working conditions to communities who need it.
Yes Green People’s products are primarily classified as organic.
According to Green People, Ingredients are certified organic wherever possible, a condition of which is that growers and producers get a fair price for their produce.
However there are non-organic ingredients obtained from European manufacturers where organic ingredients aren’t available.
Green People’s products are manufactured in the UK, or in a family owned and run manufacturing facility in Scandinavia.
No Green People do not sell products in China.
This is because you may have to submit samples to the Chinese Health Authorities for animal testing before an import license is granted.
Yes all Green People products are gluten-free.
The majority of ingredients used in Green People formulations are 100% compatible with nature and biodegrade very readily.
In fact, everything is biodegradable except for the Titanium Dioxide in a sun cream which, since it is a mineral, will not degrade.
