Soap & Glory’s official stance on animal testing states:

  • All products are safely tested on people, not animals
  • This includes testing for efficacy purposes
  • Struct guidelines exist around manufacturing partners that enforce a no animal testing policy
  • That no retailer or manufacturer can ever claim that the products or ingredients have never been tested on animals as the majority of individual raw materials have been through animal testing at some stage

This is a strange stance to take for a company who claims to be cruelty-free. But the fact Boots – the parent company – doesn’t test on animals is very promising.

Is Soap & Glory Vegan?

Soap & Glory is not a completely vegan brand and isn’t certified by any major vegan accredited organisations.

However most of its products don’t contain and animal byproducts and are suitable for vegans. But of course check the label.

There is a ‘vegan edit’ section of the website you can browse here.

Whilst Soap & Glory lies in the grey area - due to the lack of clarity or certifications - it appears to be completely cruelty-free and a great gift or backup skincare and bathroom brand.

Who are Soap & Glory?

Soap & Glory are a British brand who have produced good quality, reasonably priced bathroom and skincare products since 2006. Everything is colourful, fresh and fun. It may not be the best quality brand on the market, but it’s very good value.

What else do we love about Soap & Glory?

Well, we do like that the biggest retail partner – Boots – funds through an organisation called FRAMEThe Fund for Replacements of Animals in Medical Experiments.

FRAME’s vision ‘is a world where non-animal methods are accepted as scientific best practice.’

You should check out Soap & Glory if…

Well firstly it’s absolutely brilliant for presents, stocking fillers and guest bathroom fillers. It isn’t our personal favourite (we’d need more clarity over animal testing and for Tropic and e.l.f to fall off a cliff), but it’s good value for the price.

We just need a little more information to recommend them fully.
