Is grüum Cruelty-Free?
grüum is cruelty-free.
Not only does it not test products or ingredients personally. But it doesn’t work with suppliers who do the same. Not does grüum sell products in countries that put the brand’s products at risk of animal testing.
Is grüum Vegan?
grüum is not a completely vegan brand.
Whilst most products are vegan-friendly and free-from animal products – the body and shave ranges are totally vegan – including the majority of the skin, hair and beard care products.
However some products in these ranges contain animal derived ingredients, so be careful to check each product carefully.
One thing we absolutely love about grüum is the descriptive icons that feature on each product. It denotes a level of transparency we love to see and makes animal-free shopping easy.
Is grüum Eco-Friendly?
Yes grüum is a brand we’d consider quite eco-friendly.
There’s a range of products like the soaps and shampoo bars that are entirely plastic-free.
The packaging is widely recyclable – although razor cartridges are admittedly a little trickier to recycle at home. Fortunately grüum offer the UK’s only razor cartridge recycling scheme.
On top of this the products are manufactured and shipped from the same place – Manchester – which significantly reduces unnecessary air miles.

A calming travel companion that – thanks to the inclusion of witch hazel – can help treat a host of skin conditions. When combined with rosemary – a herb with stress relieving, energising properties – this facial tonic is an ever-present in my bathroom and travel bag.
The wonki body bar offcuts deserve a special mention. The zero-waste, plastic-free body bars come in 500g or 1kg packs and save products from going to landfill. Unique in the beauty industry.
