Is Every Man Jack Vegan?
Every Man Jack is not an entirely vegan brand. Fortunately it labels products very carefully online, From our research we found that some of the hair and beard products (holds, waxes and pomades) contain beeswax.
And certain hair products use lanolin (wax or grease from sheep’s wool) meant to stop your hair and skin drying out. Vegan alternatives – like high fat oils such as coconut or olive – are readily available and very good.
Whilst it has a large range of vegan products, check every label carefully.
Is Every Man Jack a Good Brand?
Yes, we’d say so.
The products are all-natural and good quality. With arguably the most interesting range of scents – from aged bourbon to sea salt – it’s probably the most stand out cruelty-free brand for men we’ve come across.
Sustainability wise the packaging is recyclable and partially recycled. The lack of chemicals and biodegradable formulae mean the potential runoff won’t cause an ecosystem imbalance either.
Is Every Man Jack Environmentally Friendly?
If we break down the key things that define a brand’s eco-friendly credentials, Every Man Jack scores pretty well:
- Packaging
The packaging is completely recyclable and made-from 50% PCR content. Which is pretty good, but has room for improvement.
- Chemical content
Whilst chemical content may not be an obvious issue for sustainability. aluminium and triclosan (for example) have found their way into rivers, bodies of water and root systems. This can irrevocably change the environment around us.
So being an (almost) completely natural brand has significant advantages.
- Biodegradable
If you buy products that are safe for septic tanks and to wash down plumbing systems, that’s because they are biodegradable.
If you use stronger cleaning products with harsh chemicals, this can cause a chemical buildup in our rivers and again change the ecosystem. Hence why Every Man Jack’s natural ingredients are safer for the planet.
- Manufacturing Location
This is important for a couple of reasons. Firstly, industrialised countries that have had the luxury of prosperity tend to have cleaner manufacturing processes.
Secondly if a product is manufactured in China and sent back to the USA before being shipped for delivery, then these additional miles are environmentally damaging.
As these products are manufactured in the USA, this significantly reduces product mileage.
There are other cruelty-free brands like Neal’s Yard that utilise 100% renewable energy. And cruelty-free companies like AVEDA whose packaging is made-from 100% PCR content and biodegradable sugarcane.
So whilst Every Man Jack is quite good, there’s a long way to go to reach the sustainable heights of others.

It’s a plant-based, aluminium-free, paraben-free and 99% naturally derived deodorant that contains an anti-bacterial agent and high quality essential oils for long-lasting scent.

There are no parabens, phthalates, animal testing (of course), dyes or aluminium. So the deodorant leaves out all the core chemicals you get with mass-market deodorants.
No Every Man Jack’s deodorant doesn’t contain baking soda.
The ingredients are clearly labelled on every product and baking soda – a heavily alkaline product – can cause skin irritation over time. So it’s best avoided.
Yes Every Man Jack’s products are all paraben and sulfate-free.
They’re also phthalate-free, aluminium-free and synthetic dye and fragrance-free.
As a naturally-inspired and created brand, Every Man Jack’s products are considered non-toxic.
Free-from harmful chemicals and irritants like parabens and phthalates makes the body washes and skincare safe for sensitive skin.
